The Department for Education provides the following resources for researchers:
1. EduBase
An up to date database of educational establishments across England and Wales, maintained by the Department for Education. This database enables you to search from nurseries through to colleges by name, location or type.
About the Department for Education
The Department for Education (formerly the Department for Children, Schools and Families) is responsible for leading the networks of people who work with or for children and young people. They hold various administrative data sets relating to state educational attainment, schools and children in England. The most commonly used of these are the National Pupil Database (NPD) and the Schools Census dataset.
The Department for Education collect a wide range of other educational datasets including the organisational and financial structure of schools as well as the monitoring of pupil and surplus numbers.
